Potassium Chloride
Potassium Chloride is a white metal hallide salt with the formula: KCl. It can be found in the mineral slyvite and in potash. Common industrial applications of this material include: fertilizer and feed ingredients, metallurgical flux additive, laboratory chemical, food processing and food sodium reducing agent, and it has found use in many medicinal applications.

* Potassium chloride is included in the 3rd injection of lethal injection execution to promote cardiac arrest.
* Fire extinguisher: potassium chloride was once a popular fire extinguisher, and is although it still ranks at B or C, it has largely fallen out of popular usage in favor of other compounds.
